Best Unusual Wedding Gifts

  • Kiosk

    95 Spring St.; 212-226-8601

Less of a retail venture than a folk museum, Kiosk features everyday items curated from around the world by proprietor Alisa Grifo. Whether it’s a vintage Swedish candy bag, a disco-inspired Mexican bicycle light, or a Bavarian cuckoo clock, her only requirement is a solid design concept and good functionality. Grifo displays merchandise from a country for four to five months (currently Mexico), then switches to another (Germany in March). Her super-utilitarian, diverse, and reasonably priced stock ($2 to $350) covers every gift occasion from baby showers to weddings. The shop also sells an extensive collection of the popular Salvor Fauna pillows.
